What is AI/SUM?

AI/SUM: The Applied AI Summit is Japan's largest global AI conference focusing on how to apply AI in the real world and industry. Domestic and international experts, policy makers, related companies and startups gather to explore the various impacts that AI will have on our society in the future. AI for working with people, empowering people, and solving social problems, rather than controlling people, showing the potential and possibilities of AI to the world.

Prime Minister Abe was also participating and had a video message for the event. There were a lot of celebrities among the speakers too.

Defide joined as a showcase sponsor. We showcased three services at our exhibition booth. A demo device for each service was installed in the booth for visitors to experience for themselves.

The exhibition was featured several times by the Nikkei Shimbun morning paper before the event!
Defide's logo was also published twice in color, and our person in charge was featured in an article.

It also learns with a unique dictionary, has external API and web page linkage, and offers marketing analysis. Chai is an AI based communication service that implements rich functions such as interlocking, graphs and chart generation in conjunction with chat, etc.

TEdeKAKU was developed to showcase the handwritten character digitization technology using AI image recognition
TEdeKAKU is an app that digitizes handwritten documents.

The digitization of handwritten characters using AI image recognition is aimed at handwritten slips, as used in for example financial institutions and insurance companies. By incorporating this elemental technology into business processes, it can be integrated in RPA (robotic process automation).

The exhibition booth was on the first floor of the Maru Building, so people from many financial companies came to visit! Some came especially for the exhibition and others just out of curiosity during lunch break. We managed to gather interest by showing our services to people passing by and are looking forward to having this interest grow into a business relationship.

The booth offers an interactive user experience using projection-mapped cards.
With a simple psychological questionnaire, the FP expert knowledge-based AI captures the user's psychological bias towards financial literacy and money.
While automatically developing the dialogue scenario, it establishes the user’s financial profile.

The demo provided a new user experience in which the card and screen switched during the three-part questionnaire.

The FINAPS demo received many positive comments from lots of companies. People were excited with the new type of experience the service offers. (Setting up the device at 3 in the morning paid off!)

The exhibition in Marunouchi,
the center of the financial business,
was a success

There were 10,426 visitors over the 3-day event.
This was the first exhibition in a commercial space, but it was a good opportunity for many people to learn about our company called Defide and the services we offer. This year's exhibition was held in Marunouchi, the financial business center, and many representatives from financial institutions and financial service companies visited. We received lots of feedback and requests and it was a good exhibition to gather connections!
